Practice philosophy
Saying that medicine is an art as well as a science best sums up my guiding philosophy.
For me, it is very important to individualize medicine based on each unique scenario and each individuals goals of care and to discuss the available science so patients feel empowered to make informed medical decisions.
My training and experience in Geriatrics has provided me a solid foundation for complex care of frail older adults. Applying the same principles to the field of rheumatology has been very rewarding. The field of rheumatology is very exciting with several new and promising medications in the recent years for targeted therapies. I believe in exploring goals of care with all my patients and then closely weighing benefits and risks of every treatment or intervention to help achieve these goals.
Personal
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my 2 girls and my loving husband. I make it a priority to devote time for healthy cooking, clean eating and regular exercise including cross fit and yoga.
